You can find the best buy date printed on Welch’s® Fruit Snacks outer boxes. Pouches have a best buy date or lot code printed on the pouch.
A lot code is a combination of letters and numbers, which tells us when the product was produced. All Welch’s® Fruit Snacks have a shelf life of one year from the production date. The lot code looks similar to this example: PN20A04122. The first 2 numbers listed indicate the year (20 = 2020). The following letter corresponds to the month (January = A, February = B, March = C etc. Note that the month of September is an X). The next numbers indicate the day of month it was produced. The above example shows that the product was produced on January 4, 2020. In this example the best buy date is January 4, 2021.
The production of Welch’s® Fruit Snacks involves gelatins that contain beef and pork. Snack products in our lineup that are free of animal-derived gelatins are Welch’s® Absolute Fruitfuls™ Fruit Strips, Welch’s® Fruit ‘n Yogurt™ Snacks and Fruit Rolls.
We use both pork and beef gelatin in the production of Welch’s® Fruit Snacks.
Welch’s® Absolute Fruitfuls™ Fruit Strips, Fruit ‘n Yogurt™ Snacks and Fruit Rolls do not contain gelatin.

Welch’s® Fruit Snacks are made in a number of facilities. Many varieties are made in completely nut free facilities. The remainder are made in isolated areas within facilities that handle allergens.
